"Music is so much more than words, it’s a gift that keeps giving. Music is played loud when you are happy and dancing around your living room, but what happens when there is no song that you can relate to because no one knows the pain & love that the individual is searching for in the lyrics? That’s where I found myself when my younger brother took his own life last October, no song could explain what I felt and wished I could have said to him. I’ve known Davy a number of years and always thought he was very talented, so when I saw that he was starting a new venture called 'Your Song', I knew I had to have a personal song for my brother. The process was really quick and easy, Davy sent over a few questions via email and was really sympathetic knowing the answers would be difficult for me to write. Davy let me know once the song was done and asked if I was ready to hear it, again being very respectful to the sensitivity of the song. I had no idea what the title was going to be but as soon as I saw what he had called it the tears of love just poured out. 'Forever and a day' is what I used to say to my brother when I told him I loved him. As I listened to each word I couldn’t believe how he had captured my brother and our relationship so perfectly without even knowing him. It is a song I will treasure forever and I would definitely recommend to anyone who is looking for an unusual gift for someone or even if it’s for yourself to be able to connect to the feelings you have in your heart.
